Eligibility
Applicants must have completed an Australian Year 12 qualification or an international senior secondary qualification accepted by the University with an outstanding Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) or equivalent, as deemed by Monash University Malaysia.
Applicants who have already commenced tertiary studies, or applicants transferring with credit exemptions and/or advanced standing, are not eligible to apply.

Application and acceptance process
An application for Admission to the University will constitute an application for a scholarship. All applications for Admission consistent with the eligibility and selection criteria will be considered automatically for a scholarship. All successful candidates will be offered a Scholarship along with the Offer of Admission to Monash University Malaysia.
If you are eligible, you will receive notice of the scholarship when you receive your letter of offer. To accept the scholarship, you must follow the steps below before the lapse date that is specified in your letter of offer.
- Accept the offer to study at Monash University Malaysia, making sure you have completed all the relevant forms.
- Complete the Scholarship Acknowledgement Form
- Submit the forms to:

Your responsibilities
It is the student’s responsibility to send the scholarship acknowledgement form directly to the Admissions Office at Monash Malaysia and not to another department or area of the University. You cannot appeal a late or lost scholarship acknowledgement form.

Selection Criteria
Selection will be based strictly on academic merit as per the University’s admission requirements. Selection will be based on actual results (academic and English language proficiency). Forecast results will not be considered. Only applicants with Full Offers of Admission will be considered.
Conditions
The Monash High Achiever Award for new students are tenable at Monash University Malaysia only, and are not transferable to Monash University Australia. Scholarship recipients will need to maintain a satisfactory academic progress, which, for the purpose of retaining the Scholarship, is defined as maintaining an average score of at least 75% (in at least 24 credit points of study) each semester, and not having failed any unit in any semester. Failure to do so may result in the Scholarship being terminated.
Successful candidates
- Must not be in receipt of any other tuition scholarship;
- Will be required to pay for their own airfares to Kuala Lumpur, living expenses, study materials, text books, any ancillary fees (if applicable), Visa fees and Health Coverage each year (applicable to international students only);
- Are responsible for paying the balance of the tuition fees each semester;
- Are required to enrol as full-time students and must maintain their student status on a full-time basis throughout their enrolment at Monash University Malaysia; and
- May not be entitled to “intermission” (or ‘Leave of Absence’) during the duration of the Scholarship, unless it is due to extenuating circumstances.
