At the eventful maiden convocation ceremony of Samuel Adegboyega University, Ogwa, Edo State, the institution witnessed the graduation of 57 students of whom, four (4) students bagged first class degrees.

It was learnt that 4 of the graduates made First Class, 23 persons graduated with second class upper division, 25 with second class lower division and 4 third class.

Addressing the graduands, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Bernard Aigbokhan tasked them to use the skills they have acquired, their creativity and talent to impact the country and the world at large.

About Samuel Adegboyega University

Samuel Adegboyega University Ogwa, was founded by The Apostolic Church Nigeria, Lagos and Western Northern Areas (LAWNA) Territory. The University was named after Pastor Samuel Adegboyega(MON) who was one of the eminent founding fathers of The Apostolic Church Nigeria; the first LAWNA Territorial Chairman and first field superintendent of TAC, West African Region. As a National icon, He was appointed honorary juror in the Nigerian judiciary and Associate Jury of the juvenile court. The institution received licence from the National Universities Commission on Monday March 7, 2011 as the 45th Private and 117th overall in the Nigerian university system.

Making the Difference.

SAU is progressively putting in place unique academic programmes which among others include:

1. Wholesome education for intellectual and spiritual development of her students

2. Comprehensive education that shall make students to be ICT comfortable and graduate with three certificates, viz:

A. Degree certificate in chosen academic programme

B. Entrepreneurial skill training certificate, and

C. Certificate in professional studies in affiliation with relevant professional bodies.

D. Mounting local and overseas training programme for all categories of staff (academic, administrative and technical).
