The University of Lagos School of Foundation Studies has opened applications for the 2026/2027 Foundation Programme.

About the Programme

The programme is an intensive one-year JUPEB pathway. Candidates who perform strongly in the approved JUPEB examination may be considered for Direct Entry admission into 200 level at the University of Lagos through JAMB, subject to capacity and programme requirements.

The programme is non-residential and currently does not have facilities for visually impaired candidates.

Application and Exam Dates

  • Application opens: Monday, May 25, 2026
  • Application closes: Friday, August 21, 2026
  • Entrance examination: Saturday, September 5, 2026
  • Exam venues: Distance Learning Institute and Adetokunbo Babatunde Sofoluwe Centre for Information Technology and Systems, University of Lagos

Exam Format

  • The examination will be computer-based.
  • Questions are multiple choice.
  • Candidates will answer Mathematics, English Language and three relevant subjects based on their chosen subject combination.
  • The exam has 85 questions to be answered in 45 minutes.
  • Candidates whose subject combination includes Mathematics should choose Further Mathematics as part of the entrance examination combination.
