UNIUYO NELFUND Beneficiaries: Course Registration Issue and Refund Steps

The University of Uyo (UNIUYO) has issued guidance for NELFUND beneficiaries who are unable to complete 2025/2026 course registration because the portal still prompts them to pay fees.

Why This Is Happening

Some students received NELFUND payments for the 2024/2025 session. The portal does not recognize that payment for the new session, which blocks registration.

What Affected Students Should Do

1. Pay the 2025/2026 school fees to unlock course registration.
2. Apply for a refund of the 2024/2025 NELFUND payment through the university’s official refund process.

Refund Application Requirements

• Formal letter to the Bursar requesting refund (include registration number, department/faculty, and bank account details)
• Original school fees receipt
• Original NELFUND payment receipt
• Use a conventional commercial bank account for refunds

Students should submit their refund application promptly to avoid delays.
