UNIUYO Postgraduate Admission 2025/2026: Complete Application Guide for PGD, Masters and PhD Programs

General Entry Requirements

For All Applicants

• Minimum of five O-Level credit passes including English Language and Mathematics
• NYSC discharge certificate or exemption/exclusion letter
• Valid means of identification

For PGD Programs

• Bachelor's degree (minimum Third Class) from a recognized university, OR
• Higher National Diploma (HND) from an accredited polytechnic

For Master's Programs

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field
• Postgraduate Diploma (if required for your program)
• Research proposal (for research-based programs)

For MPhil/PhD Programs

• Master's degree in relevant field
• Research proposal demonstrating originality and feasibility
• Academic references

Application Process

Step 1: Visit the Portal
Go to admissions.uniuyo.edu.ng to access the postgraduate application portal.

Step 2: Create Account
Register for a new account using a valid email address and phone number.

Step 3: Generate Payment Reference
The system will generate a Remita payment reference number for your application fee.

Step 4: Make Payment
Pay through Remita using online banking, bank branches, or authorized payment points.

Step 5: Complete Application Form
After payment confirmation, log in and complete the online application form with all required information.

Step 6: Upload Documents (PDF Only)
Upload scanned copies of all required documents in PDF format:

• O-Level certificates
• Bachelor's degree certificate and transcript
• Master's certificate and transcript (for PhD applicants)
• NYSC discharge or exemption certificate
• Research proposal (for research programs)
• Passport photograph

Important: UNIUYO does NOT accept physical document submissions. All documents must be uploaded in PDF format through the portal.

Step 7: Submit Application
Review all information carefully before final submission.

Step 8: Print Acknowledgment
Print your application acknowledgment slip for reference.

Application Deadline

Closes: Approximately late September 2025 (two months from July 31, 2025)

Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)

• Most programs: 2-4 semesters (1-2 years)

Master's Degrees

MPhil/PhD (Integrated)

• Start as MPhil student
