FULAFIA Postgraduate Admission 2025/2026: Application Guide for Masters and PhD Programs

Federal University of Lafia (FULAFIA) has commenced the sale of postgraduate admission forms for the 2025/2026 academic session. The university is accepting applications for Postgraduate Diploma (PGD), Master's degrees (M.Sc., M.A.), and M.Phil/PhD programs across multiple faculties and specialized centers.

Application Fee

The postgraduate application form costs ₦26,000 (Twenty-Six Thousand Naira). Payment is processed through REMITA platform.

Qualifying Examination Date

Date: Saturday, October 4, 2025

Time: 9:00 AM

All applicants must sit for and pass the qualifying examination to proceed with the admission process.

General Admission Requirements

For Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)

• Bachelor's degree with at least Third Class from a recognized university
• HND with Lower Credit from an accredited polytechnic (where applicable)
• Five O'Level credits including English Language and Mathematics

For Master's Programs (M.Sc., M.A.)

• Bachelor's degree with at least Second Class Lower Division in relevant field
• PGD with at least Credit grade (for candidates without good first degree)
• Five O'Level credits in relevant subjects

For M.Phil/PhD Programs

• Master's degree in relevant field with at least 60% or CGPA of 3.5/5.0
• Strong research proposal in area of interest
• Evidence of research capability (publications, conference presentations - where applicable)
• Two academic references from senior academics

Follow these steps to apply for FULAFIA postgraduate admission:

Go to the Centre for Postgraduate Studies portal at https://cpgs.fulafia.edu.ng

Step 2: Create Account

• Click on "New Application"
• Provide your email address and create a password
• Verify your email through the confirmation link sent

Step 3: Complete Application Form

Fill in all required information including:

• Personal details
• Contact information
• Educational background (with institution details and graduation dates)

• Research interests (for M.Phil/PhD applicants)

Step 4: Upload Documents

Prepare and upload scanned copies of:

• Passport photograph (JPEG, white background)

• NYSC discharge/exemption certificate

• Review all entered information carefully

• Print your application acknowledgment slip
