1. Can a polytechnic student also apply for the scholarship, if yes what level?
Yes, a polytechnic student can apply for the scholarship as long as such student is in 100 or 200 level.
2. Should I apply for the scholarship?
Yes, if you meet the requirements for the scholarship award, complete the application form accessible from online application link inside the scholarship advert.
3. I was just admitted recently and as such I have no matriculation number yet, can I apply?
Yes, you may apply with your JAMB Registration number which serves as your matriculation number until your school generates one for you as long as you have proof of admission into the school such as your JAMB admission letter.

5. I wrote JAMB in my 200 level and got a higher score than the one that got me my present course. Can I apply with the new JAMB result since it is higher than the former?
No, that is not allowed and it is not right. It is only logical that you use the JAMB result that gave you the course with which you wish to apply for the scholarship.
6. Can I apply through a representative in my hometown or university?
No. This application is strictly online.
7. Must the 200 level students that are to apply for this scholarship be admitted under the previous academic session?
Yes, that is among the requirements of the NNPC / Total Scholarship. You must have been admitted in either the previous (in 200 level now) or the current (in 100 level now) academic session
8. Can I submit my application after the deadline?
No. After the deadline, the portal closes and no applications will be received.
9. Am a new student and I have no ID card, no matriculation number or CPGA. Can I apply?
You don’t need an ID card, that is not a requirement this year. You can use your JAMB registration number as thematriculation number. As for the CGPA, input 0.00 in the field for CGPA since you have none yet.
10. Do I need to pay any money to facilitate my application?
This scholarship scheme is strictly based on merit and the selection criteria. You should not to patronize anyone by cash or kind. This award is strictly based on merit and meeting the award criteria.
11. I’m in 100 level and only my first semester result is available. Can I apply?
Yes, you can apply. Use the CGPA obtained from your first semester results to apply.
12. When is the deadline for application?
The application deadline can be found on this page. Students are encouraged to submit their applications well in advance of the deadline.
13. I am a Direct Entry student and I have no JAMB score, can I apply?
Yes, if you are a DE student, input ‘0’ in the field for JAMB score and proceed to apply. Your application will also be considered.

No, the NNPC / Total E&P Scholarship is a national scholarship.
