About Institution

Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) is a public research university located in Indianapolis, Indiana. Belonging to the university systems of both Indiana University and Purdue University, it is the result of a merger in 1969 of the Purdue Indianapolis Extension Center (1946) and Indiana University Indianapolis (1916). Located along the White River and Fall Creek it sits upon a peninsula adjacent to Downtown Indianapolis.

Among more than 200 degree programs, the urban university hosts the primary campuses for both the Indiana University School of Medicine, with more than 2,000 students, and the Indiana University School of Dentistry; the only dental school in the state. Also represented among the graduate schools, the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law is one of the only two law schools operated by Indiana University, with the Indiana University Maurer School of Law being the Bloomington equivalent.

More than 8,000 students in 2014 were enrolled in professional schools. Total enrollment of 30,690 was reported in 2014, making it the third largest university in the state. Nearly 89% of the student body is composed of native Hoosiers, with 6% coming from abroad and the remaining from out of state.

The Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, (IUPUI) USA is offering two different scholarship program, namely:

  • Merit scholarships: IUPUI will automatically consider you for these scholarships when you apply for admission.
  • Competitive scholarships: These scholarships require you to submit a separate application.

Application Deadlines

  • 1st November 2017 for Fall academic session;
  • 1st March 2018 for Fall academic session and
  • 1st October 2018 for Spring academic session.

Scholarship Value

  • Scholarships range in value from $5,000 to $28,000 per year.
  • Some merit scholarships can be combined with some competitive scholarships.
  • Housing stipend of $2,500

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship program, applicants must:

  • be International students
  • have applied or applying for a degree program at the institution
  • have good academic records

How To Apply

Merit Scholarships

IUPUI will automatically consider you for these scholarships when you apply for admission. Students can only receive ONE merit scholarship. Merit scholarships may be renewed for up to four years.

 

Competitive Scholarships

These scholarships require you to submit a separate application to the Honors College. They will also require you to submit additional materials.

Please Note

  • You must submit SAT or ACT scores to be considered for most of these scholarships. If you take the tests multiple times, submit all of your scores. We use your best scores when we determine your scholarships.
  • All scholarships require you to be enrolled full time in the fall and spring semesters (12 credit hours or more per semester) .
  • Scholarship funds cannot be used for intensive study of English as a Second Language.
